Comments: Finberg, ECWM, no. 296, authentic, it lay in the southern part of Hallow, Worcs., perhaps near Eastbury; Hooke 1980, pp. 41, 46, on topography; Hooke 1985, pp. 110, 135, 237, cited; Hooke 1990, pp. 269-72, on bounds, suggests identification with Temple Laughern in St Johns-in-Bedwardine, Worcs.
Notes: A postscript states that Ælfweard's daughter was the next heir. In the rubric she is named as Eadgifu.
